B2B Warranty & Guarantee

All products supplied by The Hairpin Leg Co. under B2B terms are covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship when used as intended. The warranty period begins from the date of delivery.

What’s Covered

  • Manufacturing defects under normal use
  • Items damaged in transit (must be reported within 7 days of delivery)
  • Structural defects that occur under normal use and weight loading, such as broken welds, bent steel, or cracked components

What’s Not Covered

  • Products used outdoors (unless outdoor suitability was agreed in writing prior to order)
  • Rust or degradation caused by outdoor exposure unless explicitly covered
  • Rust resulting from scratches, chips, or general wear and tear
  • Damage from misuse, improper handling, or incorrect installation
  • Wear and tear from commercial use beyond normal expectations
  • General cosmetic issues such as scratches, chips, or discolouration
  • Rusting of uncoated raw steel (expected to rust naturally over time)
  • Oxidation or patina on raw materials such as zinc or brass
  • Custom or made-to-order items, unless a specific warranty has been agreed in writing prior to ordering

Outdoor Use Guidance

No official warranty is offered on outdoor use unless agreed in writing. The following notes are provided as guidance only:

  • 316 stainless steel or aluminium base: Resistant to corrosion for 20+ years in typical outdoor use
  • Zinc hairpins: Electro-plated (not galvanised). Provides good protection but thinner coating than galvanising
  • Outdoor-painted products: Expected lifespan of 5+ years in non-coastal residential settings. Paint damage will expose steel and allow rust
  • Powder-coated (non-outdoor grade): Expected lifespan of 2+ years in residential outdoor use. Protective feet required to prevent scratching. Covering during winter is recommended
  • Clear coat legs: Not suitable for outdoor use. Likely to show rust within 1 year

Making a Claim

All claims must be submitted in writing with supporting photographs. Transit damage must be reported within 7 days of delivery. Where a fault is confirmed, we will repair or replace the item at our discretion. Warranty coverage applies only to the original purchaser.

Limit of Liability

Our liability under this warranty is limited strictly to the repair or replacement of the affected item(s) and shipping to the original delivery address. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential costs arising from an issue, including but not limited to labour, installation or removal costs, transport to third-party locations or other countries, penalties, loss of business, or other financial losses.
